Church Launches Life Explored Course
A church in England is running a course called "Life Explored" this month in order to make the gospel more accessible to millenials. The Frys, who are working in England, are launching the course which uses short video vignettes to get participants thinking about what brings true happiness and contentment in life. The course compares some common everyday ideas about happiness with what the Bible says about where happiness can be found. The course meets once a week for seven weeks. Each week it looks at a different characteristic of God. The question in the background is "What is the greatest gift God could give you?" - the answer being God himself. The Frys say, "We realize that many today approach life based more on feelings than anything else. The course tries to help people examine their feelings towards life in light of the truth of God's word, the Bible. We believe the Bible and the Christian faith bring a unique answer to the question of happiness and meaning and fiills that God-shaped void in our lives."
